Please join Modern Richmond on February 7th for the opportunity to tour the former Headquarters of Ellwood Thompson's. Constructed in 1954 as the Higgins Doctors Office, the building was designed by the Washington, DC firm Deigert & Yerkes Architects to serve the patients of Dr. William Higgins and his son, Dr. William Higgins, Jr.
Ellwood Thompson’s former owner Rick Hood purchased this unique circular building with its walled terraces in 2015 and engaged Rick Hood purchased this unique circular building with its walled terraces in 2015 and engaged Walter Parks Architects to design the renovation. J. W. Heisler was the general contractor. Their award-winning project was completed in 2018.
